      I used the soundbite pro when I was mixing in ableton and has to mix in and out against cdj's and turntables. Worked pretty well and it looks like a piece of DJ gear and not a computer peripheral.

        if you can go with software, there's also AudioBox that displays BPMs. Unfortunately, the old version i'm using is no longer available on the web, and the current one doesn't have 0.1 precision any more. i still got the old version somewhere, if you want to i can up it.

        p.s. i'm using this as a beat detector for lighting. it's pretty good actually
