things like this are so awesome. At the end of the day i believe it highlights the fact that we really dont need these massive houses = unless you have no life and home is the place you spend all your time i guess... i saw a program where they made a really nice and efficient house out of shipping containers - it was actually a really modern, contemporary house that i would love to live in!

^wow that interior takes the industrial green-friendly contemporary look a bit too far, that interior looks depressing... The idea and exterior setup is a really cool idea though.

i think this is a tad ridiculous... whatever helps this guy sleep better at night... hey it works for him.

i agree that huge houses are unnecessary but there needs to be some level of comfort. myself, i need 3 rooms: a bedroom, a bathroom, and a livingroom/kitchen area. a 4th room would be nice for a den/office but thats max.

i consider myself liberal but this ultra green/earth friendly stuff is getting a bit out of hand imo.

I could see the 4 story verticle house like this one on the side of a hill in a place like Malibu, where you plan to be outside mostly, and maybe work out of the home, with the 4th floor being your office...there would def need to be more windows as simon pointed out.

i agree - def need more windows - and if it was me, i would make some balconies and a rooftop garden - its a pretty nice place when you are inside tho - i been in there and its perfectly spacious, as weird as that sounds.
