know of any good remix comps?

i know this should be in the production section, but i am sitting in my hotel with nothing to do tonight, nor tomorrow and am looking for something to do.

i saw that cheesy shifted one on this front page, and thought i would like to find a decent techno competition... send one on if you know of one

in the sense that a record label says, remix this song and we will enter it in a competition with other peoples remix's and whomever has the best remix will win

i know its been a while. i have been very busy. promotion at work, traveling w/ work, moving in w/ girlfriend, trying to buy a house, producing, djing not enough time in the day

trying to focus on producing now, so my mixes have been put aside. and besides, those mixes were a representation of how shitty i was feeling at the time. i am too happy to replicate some of those mixes

Sorry to hear things were a bit ropey at the time - I certainly recall a melancholic feel to the music. If anything, I love that particular sound.

Best of luck with the new ventures

oh man, you just need to keep focusing on composing your OWN music right now. and working on the promotional side too. that way you'll get your tracks out there and maybe even get them signed that way too. I know you've got some quality tracks there, people just need to hear them.

i'm not telling you to get in touch with everyone on soundcloud. You've got ahold of one of the biggest networking sites in the world...MYSPACE. Every DJ has a Myspace page and they almost all check them by themselves. So put your tracks in a zip file and put them on sendspace and start sending them out to every DJ who think might be into them.
