you should know it may be quite difficult to find a place on your own. everyone and their mother is going to be in van for those games, and houses are being rented for $25k for a single week. people are getting absolutely rich off the olympics there...

you should talk to the people you are volunteering with to see if they can assist you in finding a place to crash.

ahh... i used to love cruising up to vancouver, and doing snowboarding trips when i lived in seattle. have a blast at the games man! cheers.

Thanks everyone! I am pretty excited about it. I have read that some people are charging over 20k for the month of February alone!

Wow, what an incredible experience! I would love to do something like that for the Olympics.

I know a few people that live out there. I don't know if they will be renting out any rooms during that time, but I can definitely ask, and if not, maybe they know people that are.

I would look on places like kijiji to see if people have postings up or like someone else mentioned, contact the people that are hiring you as they should help you out or point you in the right direction.
