The chileans will never respect anything peruvian. It doesn't matter who invented it in their eyes... They took a chunck of Peru and never gave it back. It's sad. I agree with you that pisco is peruvian, but you can't stop people from trying to steal anything valuable.

Pisco is a quechua ( ancient peruvian language ) word
PIsco is a city South form Lima
Pisco as a word comes from the Peruvian indian tribe "piskus"

Google Pisco people and see what it says on the interwebz
