Jenks there isn't any offense taken.. I have seen numersous shows and talked to many people.. My whole family is from Europe(Dad).. they will tell you.. you were behind us and we went in first.. Italy . D-Day.. you name it. learn your history before you talk shit in here.. I'm not mad at ya i just want you to understand that you guys weren't the only guys responsible for taking down Hitler.. Canadian Airborne was the most respected troops in the war.. if you don't believe me just ask..

You say people CHOOSE to learn about some events and some not? You don't choose to know these things, you are obligated to know as a human being.

How as a brit, can you not know a history of ww2? You'd be speaking german had it not been for the Americans. I'm not trying to be arrogant here, but a country like britian (even more so the french, but that's a different discussion) not know the history of WW2, Hitler, and the Jewish holocaust?

Of course it makes them less intelligent. FFS man, we're talking about one of the worst genocidal events in the history of mankind. nearly 6million jews died. Again, not implicating YOU in particular, but seriously, being that involved, and that closely related to the events of just 60-70 years ago, how can you not have knowledge of this? I find that to not only be ignorant, but rather offensive.

You aint got me sir. I`m still puzzled as to why you think these people are thick. I take your point when you say it`s sad that people don`t know what happened back then but its quite obvious that you don`t have the first clue about the English education system so let me give you a brief insight. At the age of 13 pupils in senior schools are given the options as to which subjects they`d like to learn. Lets say for arguments sake pupil `A` decides not to take up history and instead study say biology or chemistry, he then goes onto further education and studies more of the same, at the end of all his education he becomes a doctor or surgeon maybe. Is this person thick?

Quite frankly jenks i think your statement is ill-informed and ignorant in it`s self.
