LOT49 NEWS: JULY
KID BLUE "SPEAK FREAK E.P" - available from Beatport exclusively NOW!!
The ‘Speak Freak EP’ is a collection of rock solid house/techno hybrid cuts that perfectly reflect where Kid Blue is coming from as an artist.
Lead cut ‘Speak Freak’ takes the sentiments of big bass driven fidget house and gives it a rough techno edge, a perfect track to test any soundsystems limits and one that is bound to find favour across the board this summer.
‘Speak Freak’ is closely followed by the quality sounds of ‘Pentatonik’, a slice of superbly crafted tech house that hits all the right buttons.
Finally we have ‘Soul Inside’ a track described by Kid Blue himself as “an electro-techno roller with the kind of blippy melodies that I love to play in my sets”. This is a real corker of a cut with an intense vibe that makes for a real hypnotic listening experience, an electro-techno roller indeed!

LEE COOMBS AND UBERZONE "RIGHT NOW" WITH DOPAMINE REMIX
Our latest release sees Florida based London legend Lee Coombs team up with uber-talented LA producer Uberzone to create the massive cut ’Right Now’.
’Right Now’ is a slice of tech inspired, glitchy house with plenty of attitude. Chopped and spliced vocal samples sit over a tough, distorted backing, creating a tight groove that gives way to some classic old school rave synths that transport you straight back to 1991. It’s a big, bold record from two producers who know exactly how to get a dancefloor moving.
The remix comes from the ever popular Dopamine who reworks the parts to create a stripped, minimal vibe with a bouncing bassline that makes this an instantly hooky affair. The arrangement builds to a larger than life drop of electro FX vocals before kicking back into that tight and tough groove. This is a wonderful alternative to excellent original and is yet another notch on the well scored belt of Matt ’Dopamine’ Goddard.
This single is a taster from the forthcoming Lee Coombs album, his first solo long player in 5 years and if this is anything to go by we have a real treat in store.

LOT49 @ THE WICKERMAN FESTIVAL
*Friday 24th & Saturday 25th July*
With various members of the Lot49 crew having rocked the Wickerman festival for the past few years, we were chuffed to bits to be asked to host a tent for the whole weekend this year. Over two nights you can see the cream of the crop of the Lot49 crew alongside some of the hottest DJs that Scotland has to offer. It has a reputation for being one of the wildest, most hedonistic festivals of the season. So it's definitely one to head for, especially if you are one of our northern friends, and with the rest of the lineup including The Magic Numbers, The Zutons and Hot Chip you won't be disappointed!*

LOT49 vs SUPERFILTH BOAT PARTY
Massive thanks to everyone who made it to the Lot49 boat party on Saturday, what an amazing atmosphere. It was great to see so many regular faces down there alongside a whole bunch of new ones. Despite the weather the vibe on the boat was absolutely incredible and the tunes were top notch, suffice to say plans are already underway for next year's party on the Thames!
We're taking a break from the Lot49 parties in London for the rest of the summer, but will be back in October with a bang so keep your eyes peeled for that. Lot49 Sheffield also returns in September for a monthly residency at DQ, but if you really can't wait that long you can catch the gang at the Wickerman Festival in Dumfries on the 24th & 25th July, details above...
