Long, long time ago...sorry man. I've written enough about it, do a search on that stuff and you'll find plenty.

You can easily find the Duelfer report. That will tell you all you need to know. Very, very intresting to say the least. It's amazing how quickly the mainstream press has forgotten about this issue.

The oil-for-food has been one big debacle, that's for sure. They shouldn't have started an initiative like that in the first place.

                      Re: oil for food??

Time will show that the corruption involved in this program goes straight up to Kofi Annan himself. He has single-handedly prohibited any and all investigations. Coincidently, his son work closely with a company banned from the oil for food. After the ban, the younger Annan continued to receive a pay check. Interesting huh?

It goes a bit deeper than Koffi's sorry son. Check these links for how other countries being bribed by Saddam all at the same time the UN was voting to remove Saddam from power or not.

You can google search: United Nations Saddam bribed France China

And check out this article, but dont miss the list of links. Smok'n!

''Memos from Iraqi intelligence officials, recovered by American and British inspectors, show the dictator was told as early as May 2002 that France - having been granted oil contracts - would veto any American plans for war.''

''As Iraqis died of malnutrition and disease, Saddam paid bribes to undermine sanctions and clear a path for spending on WMD. Mark Greenblatt, a counsel for the Senate panel, said Saddam tried "to gain influence throughout the world" for his campaign to end the sanctions. Greenblatt said Saddam "gave oil allocations to officials, journalists and even terrorists, who then sold their allocations to the traditional oil companies in return for a sizable commission." If some Saddam allies who criticized the sanctions as cruelties imposed on the dictator were gullible, others were purchased and paid for.''
