as our beloved djs climb up in age (digweed, sasha, and others), i keep thinking when they will call it quits. afterall, they are in their mid-30s... at some point, wouldn't they decide to settle down? get married? have a family? if that happens, man, what would happen to us digweed nerds? where would we get our music?
when is it all over...?

I dont think they'll ever retire, unless the scene totally gives up.But I do think that they will drastically reduce their gigs.I mean already you have the likes of Van M and Nick Warren who dont play as much as they used to back in 98-2002.
People move on,after all dj'ing is just a hobby for a lot of peopleComment

Speaking of Van M, what gives with that guy? I think he still lives in Orlando, but he never plays there. The last I heard of him in Central Florida, he tag-teamed with Lee Burridge @ ICON...wacky night to say the least...Digweed settling down, that would be like the 7th seal opening and the apocalypse to follow. Don't talk like that Kix."He was always late on principle, his principle being that punctuality is the thief of time."Comment

This shit won't ever end, there's always fresh new talent appearing. you all seem to like that Zabiela dude, and he's what, 21? 22? it's just like any other genre... there's always new people rolling in and old ones rolling out.Comment

I don't think the age it's a problem for them, djing its not a hard task anyway, if you really love what are u doing then I though you will do it forever.. you just can get tired of gigs and stuff like that but not playing records, and after all there's a new generation coming up as well

JVM can be the most surprising DJ onthe planet, his talent exceeds pretty much everyone else. his mixing is as good as any anyone and his taste is soo far ahead. he just seems to be a recluse. his set last NYE had people cheering his name for about 20 minutes after sasha got on.your life is an occasion, rise to it.
