    I thought the movie was good right up to the part when the girl was on the horse and he could smell her over the hills and distance ... the movie became ridiculous from that point on.

        Yeah the ending is crazy, but I think it fit, in the context of the the movie.

            never watched the original version of that, heard it is much better than the US remake.

              I like both. Vanilla Sky doesn't get good reviews but as Cameron Crowe put it (paraphrased)... With each viewing you can discover something different, a movie to discuss late at night or simply a movie to watch and let it wash over you.

              I've watched it countless times and continue to enjoy it with each watch. But most people hate it
