    Re: Your First Car

I bought this as my first car 23 years ago

Only in red. In it's time this was one of the fastest hatchbacks on the road. The only problem was, every other fucker wanted it, and they didn't want to pay for it. I lost count of the amount of times I would wake in the morning and my pride and joy had vanished. But I had the sense to take the HT lead off... it was always at the bottom of the road with the door locks popped in. Wankers!
mjwebhosting you know it makes sense

My grandfather bought this car brand new in 76. It was the first Chrysler to have power window, locks, steering, ect. My brother and I shared this car for my first years of driving. It was pimp mobile in it's prime. It had an 8-track player and everything. Canary yellow with a white top and white leather interior. By the time we got it, it was fairly old looking, but we didn't care. We covered the back windows with stickers (with a big Grateful Dead steely in the middle) pure class on our part

Music is the answer, to your problems. Keep on movin', till you solve them.

1991 white Chevy Cavalier. Loved this car. Took out a student loan in 1998 to buy her for $3000. She was a great car.....drove her all through college.

          My first new car:

2001 Desert Sand Hyundai Accent. It didn't even have air conditioning it!

My car was stolen 7 times - the last time it was found a day after it was stolen and taken to the police pound. It took 11 months to contact me. By that time the elements and midnight spares had taken its toll and it was just a shell and there was a weed growing through the floor board and out the dashboard.
The kicker was that my dad was the police commissioner at the time with the car registered to his name and the address as the police station and the investigating officer worked one floor below him. The good old days

I'd say you got me beat, only just though. I paid Ģ3000 for that car 23 years, that was an awful lot of money back then. After it had been stolen a half a dozen times things were beginning to look a bit tatty, so much so that I sold it after only 18 months and I only got Ģ500 for it ! It was the best, worst car I ever bought.
