I would carry on about my day because I couldn't give a fuck about Micheal Jackson. As an artist it was all about the show, not really about the music, Some of the songs where good but nothing excellent.

And the show was always brilliant... not quite sure what you mean by saying it was not really about the music... MJ was nothing but music... yes it was not always excellent.. but there must have been something going on for him to have the status that he did

On a side note - I neither love or hate MJ, but Thriller was one heck of a wicked track including the video for it.

I just think it was more about theater than music. I just feel has songs where carried by the Videos and visual footage. Thriller was all about the video, when ever Billy Jean is mentioned it always comes back to the footage at the music awards which is brilliant. but did he leave a body of work or just a few great tracks

then if too many dj's do it , it would get old and not be special at all .

Here is how danny howells finished his set in Argentina , some people liked it and some people hated it , but what can't be denied is that everybody will always remember how he finished his set that night contrary if he would have ended with some high banging pro techno track that people would forget.

@ Didi , Hawtin was spinning on 2007 Billy jean quite often and people were loving it , How do you go from minimal to billy jean ? I don't know I guess that is what makes him a Great dj , to know when to drop it , there has to be some special ingredients to drop a track like that in the middle of some tech /minimal gig .

Sven vath did the same thing he dropped it when it was convenient , what's worng with that?

I'm pointing out that hawtin was playing it on 2007 ,so Mj didn't need to be dead in order for those tracks to be properly dropped on a set , read carefully tootsie roll .

The masterclass of dropping a track like that one is all about when and how to drop it .

In this case Sven gets an A++ and a blow job from hawtin for doing that
