I voted but my votes seem to be the kiss of death. None of my votes made the Top 100 last year and only 2 made the top 250. I was thinking of voting for Tiesto this year

I think some DJ's really do dance music fans a real disservice with remarks like Mr C's, Lee Burridge made a similar one a few years back. It seems to me that they seem to think fans vote for whoever spams them the most and not who the fans actually like. Yes DJ's post links to the poll on their sites and canvas in different ways but that's the same with most polls.

I understand why DJ's or their PR company do this because at the end of the day it can affect their bookings and earnings throughout the following year. I think these days DJ's like other professions have to work at keeping their careers going. Just doing a good job isn't enough anymore there's to many people taking sort cuts.

Please don't vote for me in the DJ Mag top 100 DJ's.
It's not that I don't like DJ Mag as I do, they've done a great job along with all of the other dance magazines.
However, the DJ Mag top 100 DJ Chart is a complete load of bollox where inadequate DJs who don't get enough work or feel insecure with themselves, go around canvassing, sending stupid emails to people they don't even know, setting up stupid groups on facebook (like this 1) to vote for them for a pointless chart with the hope of obtaining a little recognition so that they can get more work & brag about how good they are.
I have news for those DJs.
To claim that you're good will only make you worse as you'll close the channel to creativity. DJing is about helping people to celebrate life & making them happy. Not about how good you think you are (& by the way, you're not a very good DJ).
Please get a grip on life?
If any of you were considering on voting for Mr.C then please don't as you'll be wasting your time.

Given up on this, it's all nonsense from my point of view. As a punter, I'm never gonna say, yeah mate, I listen to DJ Mag's #1 DJ John Digweed, or yeah I'm one of the people who pushed Digweed to #1 with my vote. How ghey is that? I can't remember a DJ's ranking ever coming up in a conversation about the DJ's music or why I listen to the DJ.
