Pujols best playyer in the league hands down. has put up huge numbers from day one in the league. i admire him more for the work he does with 'special" children. just seems like a solid human being.

It's just mind-blowing when you think about it. Guy comes up to bat with the bases loaded, and more than 75% of the time he gets a hit, and hits it out more than half the time. Just nuts. What do you do if you're an opposing pitcher?

^ that may be, but look guy, we're not gonna jump to any conclusions and wrongfully accusing him. his talent is foolproof.

we all know everyone (or almost everyone) is using some form of performance enchancer. shit, i did when i played, and i know a few guys from high school that are in the farm systems, and some of whom are about to get pulled up into pros at the moment, and they say "everyone" is boosting. a lot of ppl also think that performance enhancement supplements have saved the sport... think about it. i've been slowly accepting it. idunno if it's cheating, or just that the times are a changin. besides that thought: pro baseball has been a business first, and a sport second - for a long time now.

                    Re: Albert Freakin' Pujols

I agree with both of you fellas, don't get me wrong, I am not saying he isn't talented either, I personally love to see each Pujols at bat.
Going deeper in my statement, what I mean is the following.

There are some person's bodies that for constitution will be much more boosted from the juice compared to others. Look at Mark McGwire and Barry Bonds, those 2 fellas had the same body as Pujols and the juice just works much better on them.

I boxe and I spar for professionals as well and believe me I have seen some shit myself and it is undoubtedly true that some persons on juice will reach a higher result than another person with a different body on the same doses. I hope you can agree with this.

A-Rod and Manny juiced or not are still the best hitters in the game.

Big Papi and Pujols not as much...

Therefore Pujols and Big Papi are just lucky to have the body that will perform better when juiced.

                    Just my personal opinion!

Actually I make tons of money each season betting on Baseball and I have no social life for 6 months.

I see you are from St. Louis, clearly biased, what can I tell you, like I said earlier this is just my personal opinion. Don't jump to quick conclusions as if you ask 100 persons who is the best hitter in Baseball not 100 will answer Pujols.
Just respect opinions and people will respect yours

                          Re: Albert Freakin' Pujols

that first young pic you posted was the year he came up with the cards. he hit .329 with 37 homers and 130 rbi in his rookie season, with that same frame. you're comparing pics a decade apart. steroids makes you hit balls longer, farther. bonds never hit for average in his roid years, he hit for distance, that's what roids does.

pujols is the best "pure hitter" the game has seen since mays, dimagio, williams, and that fact is pretty much undisputed. bigger faster stronger doesn't help average, it helps home runs. manny is an awesome hitter, and a phenominal athelete, and sure roids made him drive in more HRs, but take that away and he's still a ridiculous hitter, just like pujols.

Putting pujols and papi in the same sentence is just not knowing what you're taking about. i respect opinions, but not when they're just blatanly false. and the fact that i'm from st. louis doesn't make me biased, it should validate my point. we get baseball here.

and the fact that you make "tons of money each season betting on baseball" doesn't mean shit to me. i know a lot of gamblers that make money on sports, and gambling clouds their opinion more than it validates it.

                            1. It's your opinion and unlike you, I respect it, at least we both think that Manny is right up there so it means that either I do know a little or you know nothing like me

                            2. The fact I put Pujols and Big Papi in the same sentence, if you read it all over again, was not related at all at what kind of athletes they are, but at how their bodies react to the juice and have advantage over the others. I would be silly to consider Big Papi the same kind of hitter as Pujols, who again I have said in the first post is an absolutely talented player and I love to see each at bat by him.

                            3. "We get Baseball here."
Not sure exactly what you mean, however let's make things clear.

                            a) I lived 3 years in New York and in 3 years I have been to more Baseball games than an average American does in a lifetime. That being said, Baseball is my main income at the moment and I can watch up to 4 games at the time with mlb.tv. I watch way more games than you do, of that I am sure since I watch 6 games each night at least, so what you are saying is laughable, we are not in the after war anymore buddy, wherever you are you can watch your American Sports! haha

                            b) if it is somehow related to my not understanding of the game, again, you don't know me, so it doesn't even deserve an answer. Just like "you don't watch much baseball do you?" haha

4.Whoever has an opinion clouded by gambling is because he loses, as simple as that.
I have my opinions with which gambling does not even get close to and I never place a wager based on who I like or who I don't like, but that's an entire different story and I don't want to start that discussion as well. Besides, it is funny how you know gamblers whose opinions are clouded but yet you didn't mention that you know fans who have biased opinions? Laughable again. I am sure you know both but just to try to prove your point you only mentioned one side of the coin.

To end this like civilized people, I have never said that Pujols is not a great hitter, unlike you are trying to show. All I have said is that in my opinion he is juiced and that on his type of body (body type like Bonds, McGwire, Big Papi) the juice works better than on other athletes who, juiced ot not juiced, I respect more as players (A-Rod and Manny). I also threw this sentence because I am a semi-amatuerial Boxer and I have seen some shit myself which proves that the over mentioned point is true.
And this is just my personal opinion, you know, that thing you seem not able to respect.

This thread started with his stats with the bases loaded and the fact he hit 5 homeruns in 7 at bats and therefore it was somehow related to him hitting for homeruns as well.

Moreover, I have half a grand I put on the Cards to win the Division before the MLB started at extremely good odds, so Pujols better give me this free vacation
