this video was taken during a period with strong winds in germany last year. don't know exactly when & where but i think i could dig it up.

this video has caused heavy discussion as to whether this pilot is simply unbelievable for rescuing this situation or unbelievably stupid for trying to land under the given cirumstances...

I've seen this video before and have watched it many times. I'm still wide eyed when I watch it and it's facinating. I can't imagine being a passenger on that plane. Kodus to the pilot that was dumb enough to try and land in that wind and then get out of it spectacularily!

the pilot would have had to get clearance from the tower to land, i presume. i say stupid air tower control and good pilot.
