As I was thinking about this, I'd like to add one more thing...

I'm not interested in defending everything my country's government does. I didn't support going into Iraq, and I didn't vote for Bush to do all of the idiot things he did. The only reason I'm prone to think that the downed aircraft was a mistake is simply because it doesn't even make logical sense for the US to do that purposefully - even if you believe that their intention is to cause mass murder. That would be like Iran firing off a few long range missiles into Jerusalem; they hate those Israelis, but even so it would be a really stupid move that would actually stand hurt their interests.

But that aircraft aside, I acknowledge that the US does lots of bad things. CIA support of Pinochet was very bad. And you think I have a vested interest in defending Anderson? You can have him.

You should, however, make a distinction between a defense of government and a failure to believe in all sort of conspiracy theories that have as much intelligent reasoning behind them as the Easter Bunny - like the notion that the US has to go to such extremes as to crash its own airliners into its own buildings in order to justify invading Iraq (as if they didn't have much easier means to justify that). The fact that I view the conspiracy flavor of the week with suspicion does not mean that I think everything the USA does is great.

I think that what you will find Miro is that some of the conspiracies are closer to the truth then the major media.. Obviously there are wacko conspiracies out there but you can't lump "elvis is alive" with "building 7" on 9/11.

        Conspiracy

        World Government - Is happening
Global Currency - China and Russia are calling for it

What I find funny is that knowing what you know about how corrupt your country is why are these things such tin hat conspiracies. The real conspiracy is that law rules the land. In the real world money rules the land.

turns out the UK approved of the bomber being released. Gordon Brown what a loser.
