Yeah I never expected an epic movie trilogy of thie magnitude to come around but this certainly blew everyone away. Star Wars was the last thing like this. This has been in the works for years and you can certainly tell there was so much preparation and hard work put into it. And Peter Jackson is definetly wreaping the rewards. He must be so rich now! He probably doesn't even have to work again. I'm going to be buying the trilogy soon since I have been waiting for them to release all 3 films in a box set.

How about Meet the Feebles? (aka The Muppets on acid) It was the first(?) Peter Jackson movie, and is the most fucked up movie I've ever seen... couldn't even watch the whole thing. There's just something about a stripper hippo fucking a cat, watching a fly landing on a turd in a toilet & spooning shit into his mouth with a spoon, etc, that just gets too hard to watch after 90 minutes.
