Chunky, here are a few documentaries (videos & 1 website) I think you may enjoy produced by Frontline, one of the most reputable broadcasting companies here in the States, just click on the title, hope you find them informative:

      TRUTH, WAR, AND CONSEQUENCES
      Oct. 9, 2003
      90 MINUTES
FRONTLINE traces the roots of the Iraqi war back to the days immediately following September 11, when Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld ordered the creation of a special intelligence operation to quietly begin looking for evidence that would justify the war. The intelligence reports soon became a part of a continuing struggle between civilians in the Pentagon on one side and the CIA, State Department, and uniformed military on the other - a struggle that would lead to inadequate planning for the aftermath of the war, continuing violence, and mounting political problems for the president.

      THE WAR BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
      60 MINUTES - alt link
FRONTLINE examines the hidden story of what is really driving the Bush administration to war with Iraq. The investigation asks whether the publicly reported reasons--fear of Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction or a desire to insure and protect America's access to oil--are only masking the real reason for the war. Through interviews with well-placed sources in and outside of the administration, FRONTLINE unravels a story known only to the Washington insiders.

FAITH AND DOUBT AT GROUND ZERO
      SEP. 03, 2002
      120 MINUTES
Ground Zero in Manhattan has become a site of pilgrimage. Thousands of people visit the site, looking for consolation as they question the events of September 11. There is a profound quiet to their meditations. Starting here, FRONTLINE sets out on a quest to find out how peoples' beliefs-and unbelief-has been challenged, and how they are coping with difficult questions of good and evil, the face of God, and the potential for darkness within religion itself. From survivors who were pulled from the wreckage of the Twin Towers to the widow of a New York City firefighter; from priests and rabbis to security guards and opera divas; from lapsed Catholics and Jews to Buddhists, Muslims, and atheists.... FRONTLINE explores and illuminates the myriad of spiritual questions that have come out of the terror, pain, and destruction at Ground Zero.

      Muslims
      MAY. 09, 2002
      120 MINUTES
The events of Sept. 11 left many Americans questioning how such atrocities could be perpetrated in the name of religion: specifically, the religion of Islam. Few Americans know much about Islam, yet it continues to be the fastest growing religion in the US today. What is Islam? What do Muslims believe in? And how does their faith shape their lives, identities and their political ideologies? FRONTLINE explores these and other questions in "Muslims," a special two-hour report that examines the fundamental tenets of Islam and the causes behind its current worldwide resurgence.Through interviews with dozens of ordinary Muslims from such diverse countries as Iran, Malaysia, Turkey, and the U.S., FRONTLINE illuminates the perspectives, conflicts, and tensions that are shaping today's Muslim world.

      INSIDE THE TERROR NETWORK
      JAN. 17, 2002
      60 MINUTES
The hijackers of September 11 led such outwardly ordinary lives that they moved through Europe and America virtually unnoticed. They plotted in broad daylight, weaving a web of terror from the simple routines of modern life. American flight schools taught them to fly, local banks helped them move money, libraries provided computers, and the Department of Motor Vehicles supplied essential IDs. Everywhere they went they blended in unnoticed and unsuspected. FRONTLINE traces the hijackers' movements across four continents, following clues they left behind to unearth the stories of the individuals inside Osama bin Laden's terror network.

Lastly: BBC's AMERICA'S DAY OF TERROR
On 11 September 2001 a series of attacks were launched on America. It was a day that many around the world would never forget.

It was fun while it lasted...

my friends, do not look at any of this blasphemy. Instead, keep looking at the pictures of the hole mostly covered up by the spray of the fire truck, keep telling yourselves that "C ring" means "E ring", and keep looking at expert Youtube commentary on videos of "molten steel" dripping out of the near-freezing towers.

miro and florida, here is the thing, i'm willing to go thru the whole thing with you and debunk the governments line on everything that day.

                but

                1. dont assume that because some 9-11 researcher believes in one thing, that i do as well.

                2. i wont get into any theory of what happened or who did it, most people have a hard enough time believing the government is lying to us.

                3. i will be happy to have YOU leave this thread wanting a new investigation, but you have to be willing to go thru the information.

i will do this all, with only government reports/sites, and with any 9-11 conspriacy debunking sites/links that you can think of.

^That may very well be true of my second post, but not my first post, although one of the video's was no longer available on the Frontline website so I went to the trouble of tracking it down on Google, where it was hosted by another online archive.

As for the music, some are more deliberate than others, and I am always critical of these shows when they use dramatic music, not just the video's RM has posted.

With regard to the second list of documents and videos, I have not viewed them, but they are backed by scholarly sources.

I'm going to finish watching RM's video later tonight.

                    cheers

It may seem like plenty of posturing is going on, and of course one has to discriminate when they watch frontline, or any other journalism for that matter. But I assume Chunky will take the information with a grain of salt as well as further investigate presumably inaccurate information as he and other see fit. To simply disseminate everything Frontline reports as as propaganda is not only presumptuous but borderline egomaniacal, imo.

no not at all. Frontline is lies. To think that is the truth is naive. That is like saying the mainstream is the truth. Frontline is the mainstream of the mainstream.

I will take independant media any day of the week over the corporate news.

It was fun while it lasted...

In the past Genocide, Famine, War, Disease. People questioning where god was on 9/11. What about all the other times. What what where these people doing? looking at the world and seeing nothing at all until it was on their doorstep.
