Feed Flipper: iTunes Podcast to RSS converter

Anybody know how to convert an iTunes podcast itms feed to the standard rss xml format? I know I can replace the itms with http:// to see the xml, but it's not in the standard rss format...

for example, here's the http://www.datatransmission.co.uk itunes podcast feed:

itms://ax.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=283302878&ign-mscache=1

well I can't find anything so I'm going to try to create a converter myself with php. I don't know PHP yet but it can't be that hard

I'm able to generate the standard RSS wrapper from an iTunes feed! It's not parsing any of the articles yet, but I'm able to pull the necessary info to create a feed that validates.

Let's call this beta v0.1.

Fully functional! You can prepend http://picklemonkey.net/flipper/convert.php?feed= to the beginning of any iTunes podcast feed into your RSS reader and it will automatically convert the iTunes feed into an RSS 2.0 standard feed.

I have tested on 5 different iTunes feeds and all work so far:

So far so good... I have plenty more I need to do, but if you want to use it now please do and let me know of any bugs you find so I can try to fix them!

I have no problems with that in RSSOwl.

I apologize for the nerd stuff here, but I'm way excited. Somebody just wrote about it on allbusiness.com! At least I know some people out there are getting some use out of it.

What happened with the people from itunes? tell steve jobs to kick back 1/1000th of 1% of his bank so you can be setup for life.

Google just approved me for an AdSense account on Wednesday, so once I get the time to implement it, it might help.
