and what are we supposed to do about it? rally the troops and demand an investigation, call our representative in congress and ask him if they can please tell me where that money is going?

this is basically the same as 911, you can argue all you want, you can kick and scream and blame who ever you want, but still you will accomplish NOTHING.

We have a crooked goverment, we get it, you know what i like doing in response?? i live my life, care for my family and work hard to pay my dues, living a life of conspiracy theories and constant predictions of doom is not gonna make it any better.

No but giving up on everything is no answer either...I am not giving any predictions of doom and I am not into "conspiracy theory's" by labeling any of this stuff as "conspiracies" you are essentially arguing it is not true. The fact that (Intelligent*) US people are apathetic about their government and their political system can only lead to more self righteous money garbing morally retarded individuals getting involved in politics.

You are essentially arguing that there is no point even keeping these things in perspective because you can't do anything...and by doing this it just gets this kind of corrupt behavior to become the norm. I am not attacking you personally but I think its important not to forget these things and it certainly brings things closer to reality when we are talking about trusting our governments...
I am by no means a conspiracy theorists but I do like to think for my self...BTW Florida this video only explains where a very tiny amount went and also says that these people are now most likely back in Iraq so its not really satisfactory...
I think its funny how this kind of thing gets pushed out of the headlines...I guess its because people don't give a shit enough to fight for an honest government and the news agencies don't want to go out on a limb for a bunch Britney Spears followers.

yeah, i think i should leave my family, leave my job, become a useless bum and protest outside of the house of congress, that will make a huge difference.

other than voting for some more responsible state, local and national representatives i trully dont see how bitching about things none of us can make a difference on will change my life as it is.

like i said, i live my life as it is, i provide, i work as hard as i can, and i could care less what government does with either my or your money because the truth is that not even with your courageous "posts" on a forum, shit is never gonna change, the only thing that is gonna change is how you live your life, so in that manner, i decide to live my life with the pleasure of not really caring for things that are out of my immediate reach.

why are you so drastic? You don't have to give up your life to be a part of something. Look at all the Obama volunteers, not everyone of them just left their job and life behind.

with quotes like that one man, you dont really expect people to take you seriously. I think the US has been trough worst times, and we are yet to see shit like the one you often describe happen.

Still , that is my way of life, even with Bush in power i didnt bitch about the things he was doing, why?, because going out there to protest, was not going to make my situation better, wearing "protest" t-shirts was not going to bring more food to my family, you know what actually gives me the oportunity of buying all the shit that i want? going to work and making my life the best that i can out of it.

So yeah, maybe i should be worried about the "future" or about "how things are being runned in my country" but you know what, i decide not to because im already worried enough about making ends meet in order to be a good provider for my family, about putting my kids trough college without having to "ask" the goverment for "handouts". That is my inmediate future, those are the things that i care about, not about some crooked gay ass senator who is fucking in public bathrooms.

so yeah, you and me RM, we are different people, you might get your thrills when you fantasize about New World Orders and Doomsdays, i dont, my thrills come from buying my son an ipod and going to the park and having a conversation with my wife about how beautifull the sunsets can be, not about how fucked up life is and how our goverment is fucking us all.
