On Sept 18 Blk|market Membership brings you yet another special night.
Clive Henry is a name that has been around for quite some time. Currently a resident for the famous Circo Loco parties, he is also one half of Peace Division alongside Justin Drake. With a slew of remixes and releases from the late 90's to present, Its safe to say that Peace Division has been a very common name known to everyone. Their dark and tribal sound has been canned by all the big players in the Industry such as Steve Lawler, Danny Tenaglia, Ricardo Villalobos, Sasha & Digweed, Craig Richards and Lee Burridge just to name a few. Probably the biggest track that made an impact on us until today is 'Roaches' by Peace Division.
Melon is a name that you will be hearing much more of now. One of the forerunners in the Dutch scene, Melon produces under his own name, Don Melon and Je Davu on Platzhirsch. We dont have to go much into detail, but if both Ricardo Villalobos and Tobi Neumann have named him their favorite Dj, that to us is a pretty big statement. This will be his NYC debut and he is definetly going to make many new fans here in our great city.
Kabuto & Koji hail from Costa Rica where they have ran an 8 year residency and shared the decks with many big names that fly into their city San Jose. They have recently been signed onto Sven Vath's Cocoon Imprint, Audiofly's Supernature record label and also have recently been featured on Jim River's Global Underground Nubreed cd. Expect nothing short of some of the freshest sounds you will find out there. Lets see what tricks the boys have up their sleeve!
The powerful Inxec who is a main artist on Jay Haze's Contexterrior imprint will be making his New York Debut on this date. Inxec is also Matt Tolfrey's (who we are bringin later this month!) studio partner and together they teamed up to releases orginal tracks & remixes on Steve Lawler's Viva imprint, Cocoon, Leftroom, and Murmur just to name a few. We have been following Inxec's productions and are big fans of his work, so get ready to experience a very special live PA that he has been preparing for us.
Last but not least Leks the Imposter opens up the night with his deep sound.
