i would still consider him a person ti admire. he walked away from a 6 month a year job that payed millions to be willing (and eventually did) to sacrifice his life to try to make a difference. how many of us could walk away from millions to walk into a war zone????

deffo someone to at least admire. even though he didnt go down guns blazin fighting with enemies.

      nice. ff kill.

most of our kills are from ff. always has been the case. technology has leaped us to long range battles, so we really do not know what the fuck we are bombing or killing. plus the CQB has put that at really new level.

      bah. sad. sick. gross.

      war sucks.

Yeah, it sucks, but there is nothing you can do about it. It has always been a part of life on the planet Earth, and it isn't going away. It does suck, but if you live in a place where there hasnt been war, or you havent been close to it, consider yourself fortunate. If a terrorist gets a dirty bomb off in the subway while we are clubbing and necking with our girl, LIFE WILL REALLY SUCK! Even if you live, the radioactive fallout, food and water contamination, etc, will make you really hate war.

Truth is, heaven is the only place without war! Hope you all make it!

You can also be a hero dying in your underpants...

absolutely still a hero. Just suiting up and heading into battle makes him a hero. Every man and woman over there falls into the hero category, regardless of whether they are shot at/injured/killed or not, IMHO...

                          you have got that right!

face death, see others hurt or die, keep pushing on, don't lose your mind in all of it, fight for peace and keep on believing. They are heros in my book.
