all I hear on here is what Chunky said people affraid of the truth. I can't speak for Chunky but I don't think the government was in on it directly as a whole. I just think that a real investigation should take place. What is so wrong with that?
Toasty if your wife was murdered wouldn't you want the real version of what happened or just a story with no accountablity and nobody going to jail for it. Who went to jail for 9/11? Why weren't the planes shot down? Why am I supposed to believe that Hani Hanjour did things with a plane that an experienced pilot couldn't do? Again these are just some of the facts that people like Manny Badillo and the 9/11 families want answered. I still don't see what is so bad about it. I mean the NIST couldn't recreate what happened to the WTC towers when remaking it in a furnace!! They use proof by CGI rather than proof by recreation. These are MAJOR problems with the stories that we have been told. If Charlie Sheen can't sleep at night because he fears the road the country is going down then why can't he have use his celebrity to have a voice? God knows Bono and other losers use their celebrity to push their ideals...
Also what about Sibel edmonds testimony? Why was she gaged for years?

The primary point of my posts in this thread is this:
Charlie Sheen is an epic douchebag. His attachment to this issue -- or any issue, for that matter -- does not lend added credibility to that issue and if anything has the opposite effect. If you're wondering why nobody is listening to Charlie Sheen, might I remind you that it is Charlie Sheen.
I have no problem with people investigating this. For me, it's pretty clear what happened, but if you want to conduct your own investigation, knock your socks off. You may not, however, force me to take you seriously, nor do I think it is a good use of my tax dollars.
There are lots of things about 9/11 that don't make a hell of a lot of sense, but it does not follow that those gaps in the record are necessarily filled with sinister, nefarious, conspiratorial acts. I saw all I needed to see on 9/11 itself to explain why those buildings fell, and attribute most of those oddities to the fact that we don't really have enough experience with flying fuel-laden jumbo jets into 100+ floor buildings to know exactly what to expect. If people want to continue to look into it, but I think it is a waste of time and money, AND I think that a lot of people already have their mind made up anyway, further lessening the need for investigation.Comment

ok but why didn't someone in the defense department go to jail for negligence? Someone was in charge of protecting the US citizen. Why wasn't Donald Rumsfeld fired? What a failure he was that day.

I'm in favor of Obama bin Laden's head on a stake on the White House lawn, and that's pretty much where it starts and ends with me. The rest of it (Taliban, heroin, etc.) is atmospherics AFAIC.
Apart from the fact that you're confusing civil and criminal terminology, you raise some shockingly good questions about the lack of accountability on 9/11. Guys like Rumsfeld and Tenet should have been canned, and instead they got medals. I don't get it. My best guess as to the "why" behind them staying in their positions is part cronyism, part significant intervening force in the form of OBL having his goons intentionally fly planes into our buildings.
If only someone would have sent Bush a memo titled "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Within US" that outlined the use of passenger planes as missiles, they could have seen this coming. Ultimately, though, I blame OBL and al Qaeda for what happened on 9/11. I blame Bush and his buddies for everything that happened after that.Comment
