strangers to politics I see. What did you think was going to happen the leader of the Repubs was going to come out and say what a great call it was? No No No you see the damage was done already. They got their point across to a National audience that they think Obama is liar. You see it is a sound bite "Obama - Liar" now everyone today is not talking about Healthcare they are talking about if Obama is a liar.. It worked great. They completely hijacked the purpose of the speech.

The Congressman yelling "You lie" was out of line and right to immediately apologize. I'm okay with dissent and debate at the town hall meetings to a degree, but last night's outburst was disrespectful to the President. His emotions probably did get the better of him, but everyone should respect the office and his position.

Not sure what all the back and forth going on is about in this thread because it seems off topic. I think we can and should all agree regardless of political affiliation that last night's outburst was disrespectful. I'm glad to see the Congressman apologize so quickly and the President to not make this a big issue.

Factually incorrect. Everyone is not talking about that, they are talking about what a meathead Joe Wilson was for just blurting that out like that. To the extent that there has been discussion about whether Obama's claim was a lie or not, that hasn't gone particularly well either, because, again:

...at least two fact-checking sites (here and here) have sided against Wilson on his claim that Obama lied

Everyone understands that this was a net loser for the GOP, which is why you had so many high ranking republicans smacking this guy down. You can concoct whatever scenario in your head that you'd like if it makes you feel better, but you're just wrong on this point.
