I think this movie woulda been a whole lot better without Tom Cruise's character

but still a great flick!

actually, ton cruise did a wonderful job IMO> his first serious role in awhile, without being the larger than like cheesy line spitting character. he played the flaws very well and his character's revalations were also acted well. i really enjoyed this.

and yes the ninja part was really cool, but this movie was all about drama and the man, ken wantanabe

I just saw this over the weekend as well. My favorite part was when TC first lead the western trained army into battle against the Samuari... when they come riding out of the mist and proceed to kick some serious ass, that was awesome!!

Overall I'd say it was indeed a good movie, definitely toooooo loooooooong just like every other movie these days, but the fact that I was able to tough it out and watch the whole thing says alot.

Beautiful movie but there is something wildly missing from it that I can't place my finger on.. other than that it is a great movie.

I thought it was pretty good. Its not really what most people built it up to be but hey its an original screenplay, to my knowledge, and the battle/action scenes/visual effects were top notch..... for that I give it two thumbs up.
