Let's hear it for the Funky Dredd

I just wanted to post my appreciation for the man's skills and i know plenty of you out there will join me. In all honesty i like this guy's mixes more than just about anything else i listen to, and i listen to a lot. He probably won't thank me for this as he seems a modest kind of bloke but his take on house music is, for me, something special.

I know it's a personal thing and all very subjective but if you haven't already, give some of these a blast and i doubt very much you'll be disappointed.

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you guys are liking Sounds Of Summer as well. I made it for a friend of mine and never posted it here (it has been in my signature though) because I felt quite a few of those tracks had already been beaten to death by other big name dj's, and it was also out of the scope of my monthly mixes.

In my opinion though there is a wealth of individuals on this board that I believe play better than I do. Ribbario, Jeremy Doty, BureOne, Sibu (love this guys mixes) just to name a few. I've also not posted all of my mixes here either. I have quite a collection of mixes that I 've done since '93 and once I get done with Chris' tapes I was going to record them and put them up here. If you all would like I can post the mixes that aren't up here (although they are on megaupload)?

I will say this though, if it wasn't for Al (BureOne) and Ribbario pushing me to do a set I probably wouldn't have done one for the board. When I sent it to Ribbario he sent me a message back saying that he liked it but I could do better. I never forgot that.....my next mix was Misty and I posted that one!

17 years is a long time to DJ but it's still just as much fun now as it was when I first started. Although my wife would disagree...."will you turn it down" But she has always supported me regardless, she still never complains when I buy music. I have to give a big shout out to my brother as well. We used to share records back in the day (still do) and without him I probably would have stopped ages ago.

Really had a good time listening to the summer sounds mix, now downloading wavesamples and soul...

Thanks for pointing this out Bob, repetition is key on MS, things can easily slip by without being noticed, and I am sure glad I did not miss out on these.
