Haven't heard this but everything Derek Howell touches turns to gold at the moment.

    Has this been released?

I've heard some of his stuff that I didn't think was all that good. No producer is 100% great all the time.

I'll go search for a audio clip of this and send back my thoughts after hearing it.

His 2 new EPs are blinding and 'Funk It' is just top notch. I've not heard one tune of Derek's that didn't blow my mind.

the guy has some quite good productions, but i just feel like he is a bit overrated at the moment. Especially in the case of his bedrock ep - i don't see what was all the fuss about it. At best I would give it 9/10, nothing more. I only bought happy to be sad/i was just leaving, the other vinyl just seemed a little boring. I am not an expert in music production but I think it would be smart if he reduced the volume and instead concentrated on the quality of his productions

are you serious? all four of the tracks on that EP are production gems. all the subtleties and nuances you could want, with wanton energy pouring from thos b-lines

well, when I was hearing the tracks for the first time, I was expecting to be blown away, but unfortunatelly it did not happen. Only one of the vinyls really sparked my interest. I don't know why, maybe I will love both tracks later ...
