my new headphones are here!

I bought a pair of these:

from a marketplace seller on amazon for 216 dollars. I did loads of research before buying them, and these headphones are supposed to be great in general, but with a real thump in the bass ranges which isn't so common in the audiophile headphone range. I have had them for 3 hours and I'm listening to the Steve Bug essential mix and it is the first time I've heard the real club rumble of the basslines at home . Money well spent i think...

what other recent sets would sound particularly awesome in these cans? I listened to the Zabiela appreciation mix first and it sounded great. Really it has to be bassey and maybe in 320 Kbps if possible.

those are sactually quite close what i paid (389 list, 259 on amazon). I tested the beyer 770's in guitar centre and the bass was cool but the mids were kinda recessed and crappy. I listen to jazz and some classical stuff and these are supposed to be really good all rounders for the money.

I would certainly like to give the 990's a listen tho.

Surely some warm and fluffy vinyl is the only way to test properly. Or maybe some DVD-A? Anything measured in kbps will just not make the cut, no?

anything digital is a poor relation, In the analogue realm it's about how much sound you can capture as opposed to how little you have to leave out

my turntables and all my vinyl is in my father in laws attic in England. Maybe Bender420 will facilitate me..........
