London based indie types Fanfarlo are preparing to release the physical version of their album 'Reservoir' on Monday (September 28th) - but you can listen to it now in ClashMusic!
Originally hailing from Sweden, Simon Balthazar arrived in London with his guitar and a ton of ambition. Quickly gathering like minded musicians he set about crafting his songs into a lush group textures.
Gaining plaudits the band released a string of singles on some of the nation's hippest independent labels, before Fanfarlo decided to save up their pennies and head to the United States to work on their debut album.
Teaming up with Peter Katis the band blitzed through the material in the producer's home studio. The relaxed atmosphere seems to have affected Fanfarlo, allowing them to take undreamt of risks.
Released as 'Reservoir' Fanfarlo made the album available as a self-released download earlier this year. Becoming a cult success the record has snowballed into one of the year's most surprising successes.
