    When did Transitions become Transitions?

Just labelling up some MP3s I downloaded off Soulseek and the promos section here on MS from Digweed on Kiss back in 2004 (and if anyone reading this is one of the dudes I've been sponging off of in order to fill in my gaps MASSIVE thank you for indulging me). Can anyone remember at what point the show stopped being Digweed on Kiss and became Transitions?

By my calcs, Transitions #250 broadcast on 14/06/2009 was Diggers 446th show since 2000 which I therefore make Transitions #1 to be show #187 broadcast 30/05/2004 (guest mix by Karlos Elizondo). I'm almost certainly completely wrong as this seems an odd place for Transitions to start - especially as there is an 8 week gap earlier that year which would seem to indicate the right place for the change.

As I couldn't receive Kiss at the time, and only finally found the show through the Sky platform in 2006 this is a bit before my time. Anyone who listened back in the day able to enlighten me?

Thanks for indulging this extremely anal question

Good question mate, I'd like to know as well... I kinda lost track there for a while. When I jumped back on board it was no longer Kiss100.

You are looking for a transition? Hmmm!

Someone will probably have more accurate dates, but IIRC correctly it was being broadcast as Transitions over the pond before it ever got called that on Kiss100, no?

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

Quite possibly, but Digweed himself acknowledged show #250 & played 2 hours of his set at Matter to commemorate the fact - so there's a point where it changed in his mind. He's racked up nearly double that since he started on Kiss in 2000.

I started just labelling everything as Transitions, but it would be nice to be accurate if Digweed himself believes there are only 250 odd shows out of nearly 500 now.

What kind of on-line library do you use? I'd be interesting in setting up on for myself. Ever since my harddrive crashed, I've got my music all over the place and its been a mess to sort through.

Well feck me - that's pretty definitive. Dunno where Digweed got 250 from - he's out by 70 shows!!

I'm going with that as I don't want this to turn into even more of a geekfest than it clearly is.

Hats off to both Gatz and SimonR for this
