Re: When did Transitions become Transitions?
Dusk - I had exactly the same problem mate. My hard drive went caput in 2007 and I lost anything I didn't have a physical copy off or had burnt to cd to listen to in the car.
I bought a laptop but it only has 80GB of space so it fills up very quickly, so I invested in a Western Digital 500GB My Book off Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digi...3907499&sr=1-7
Ignore the dodgy reviews (which are a minority anyway) - I've had mine over a year and had no problems with it - and I have a rule that I don't put anything on it unless I've already backed up what I'm transferring onto MP3CD or DVD (for FLACs, photos, etc) so if it DOES go tits up I can rebuild from scratch.
Really handy to have everything in one place and really easy to set up - as long as you back up onto another piece of media as well, you shouldn't have any problems.
No idea about online libraries though. Sorry!
