ADULTNAPPER
"Adultnapper" is a shadowy figure drawn from the dark reaches of Francis Harris' imagination. Harris, a philosphy phD drop-out with punk rocker roots, hails from suburban Las Vegas but has called Brooklyn home for the past 9 years - a stretch in which he has gone from ìhating dance music,î to establishing himself as an underground DJ/Producer with a unique sound and a global audience.
In 2004, having achieved success as a DJ, Label Owner and Event Producer, Harris turned to the studio, intent on exploring new sonic territory, and adopting the Adultnapper moniker to represent his efforts. What emerged was a reaction against the skippy rhythms and repetetive loops that had dominated the electronic dance music landscape. Instead, Harris took a sophisticated, song-based approach, characterized by elaborate swung microrhythms, thick musical baselines, complex arrangements, haunting tonal melodies and brooding introspective atmospheres - and tastemakers took note. A steady stream of Adultnapper tracks have since appeared on some of the world's most esteemed labels - Steve Bug's Audiomatique, Frank Lorber's Nummer, Mr. C's Superfreq, Mule Electronic, Dirt Crew, etc. - and have been hotly tipped by elite DJs - Loco Dice, Danny Tenaglia, Craig Richards, Sven Vath, Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Monika Kruse, Steve Lawler, Danny Howells, etc. - thus firmly establishing Harris as one rare purveyor who steadfastly challenges the conventional wisdom and accepted shortcuts of post modern electronic music.
In 2007, seeking a platform on which to further develop the Adultnapper persona, Harris launched Ransom Note, a concept label with a cohesive narrative that unfolds with each release. Much like a graphic novel, using text, the ìransom note,î and imagery, a series of drawings by performance artist John Stroud, the label's jackets will tell the story of this anti-hero who is part creative genius gone awry, part tortured dystopic philospher, part paranoid vigilante outlaw.
Still, it is when Harris himself is in control of a dancefloor that Adultnapper is truly brought to life. Relying primarily on the ancient art of mixing two records, Harris' precision skills and thoughtful programming have earned him a reputation as DJ equal to his regard as producer - an uncommom distinction. On the decks, Harris intricately weaves divergent strains into a thick, pumping groove that subtly rises and falls, drawing the crowd ever deeper within his emotion-laden, melodic journey. Circo Loco at DC10, Ibiza, Cielo in NY, The End, Mulletover in London, Weekend in Berlin, Pawn Shop in Miami, Avalon in LA, are just a few of the world's discenring floors that have been graced by Adultnapper and been left clamoring for more.

THREE
Three has quietly and steadily earned the respect of his peers the world over through a handful of truly unique productions and a signature DJing sound spanning through all things house, techno and beyond. This sound, a strong knowledge of tradition capped by a fondness for the cutting edge, continually puts him through a variety of tour dates that show not only diversity in audience, but a genre-bending passion for good music. A long time fixture of Florida's legendary Simon's and a former resident at Twilo in N.Y.C., guest spots have seen him through San Franciso's notorious Wicked Crew party, London's Fabric, Bedrock, KISS FM , and off-shore to Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Pacha in Buenos Aires and South Africa.
Echoing his wide tastes as a DJ, the unique sound of his productions has captured a not-so-common cross section of DJ's ears from deep house to techno, and all things in bewteen.

PEZZNER
Up until 2008 Dave Pezzner was virtually unknown to the electronic dance music community, aside from his works in the duo ìJacob Londonî (Classic Music, Doubledown, U-Freqs). For 16 years he cut his chops with partner Bob Hansen, creating eccentric house and break beat rhythms often crossing the lines between bad-ass, funky and hilarious.
In the winter of 2008, Pezzner took to his own studio to begin work on his first solo output composing songs that are more serious, with an abstract artistic sensibility. Quickly Daveís catalog began to materialize with a signature sound: Lofty percussive themes with intentions to create hypnotic soundscapes for the body as well as the brain.
It wasnít long before Pezzner found his first 5 songs scooped up by London-based Freerange Records, covering the first two EPís of his career, ìOther Loverî and the epic three-part masterpiece ìAlmost Here.î These two EPs garnered him massive support from artists as varied as John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Peter Kruder, Steve Bug and Ben Watt, setting up Pezzner as a producer on the rise.
These first two releases laid a solid foundation for his career and follow-ups are now in the pipeline on San Francisco's Om Records imprint, Londonís Urbantorque Recordings, plus another EP for Freerange. Dave has also got an arsenal of remixes forthcoming for heavyweights including Josh Wink, Mark Farina, and Mike Monday. Its a dizzying number of releases for an emerging artist, but now that Pezznerís stepped out on his own, heís definitely got a lot to say.

SUTEKH
Seth Horvitz (b. 1973, Los Angeles) is an electronic musician, sound designer, DJ, piano programmer, and human based in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1991. Under the name Sutekh, he has released music on dozens of record labels, including Mille Plateaux (Germany), Soul Jazz (UK), The Leaf Label (UK), Orthlorng Musork (USA), and his own Context Free Media. While identified most often as a techno artist, Sutekh is well known for his innovative and irreverent approach, incorporating a range of influences from pigeon funk, dub, and free jazz to experimental noise, musique concrËte, and classical minimalism. Sutekhís music is full of surprises, frequently transitioning between the repetitive and chaotic, abrasive and tranquil, serious and absurd, with an expansive sonic palette consisting of synthesized sound, field recordings, acoustic instruments, digital artifacts, and samples that exploit the beauty and unpredictability of the recording medium itself.
As a remixer, Sutekh has reinterpreted the work of dozens of artists including Norweigan Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Hanne Hukkelberg, micro-sound artist Alva Noto (aka Carsten Nicolai), pioneer of conceptual art Lawrence Weiner, and the eight piece Klezmer ensemble KLEZ-X. In 2006, the Leaf Label compiled twenty-three of his remixes into a double-disc and four-LP set entitled ìBorn Again,î described by the BBC as ìgorgeous minimalism paired to an unstoppable propulsiveness and a brilliant deployment of texture thatís so tactile it prompts feelings of synaesthesia.î
As a live performer, Sutekh has appeared at festivals, museums, concert halls, and nightclubs around the world, including Mutek (Montreal), Son·r (Barcelona), Dis-patch (Belgrade), Elektrodienos (Vilnius), Croma (Tenerife), Numero-Projecta (Lisbon), C-Sides (Jerusalem), Bios (Athens), Sonic Acts (Amsterdam), the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco), SFMOMA, Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art, Sydney Opera House, Womb (Tokyo), and Tresor (Berlin).
Horvitz has been an active member of the Bay Area electronic music scene since the early 1990s. He made his foray into music by conducting a weekly radio show at KALX Berkeley, deejaying at numerous renegade parties, and organizing several weekly and one-off club events. Over the years, he has collaborated with many fellow Bay Area musicians including Joshua Kit Clayton, Matthew ìSafety Scissorsî Curry, Matmos, Wobbly, Kevin Blechdom, and Twerk. He is also a member of the ìbandî Pigeon Funk, which has released two full length albums on Proptronix (USA) and Musique RisquÈe (Canada).
While his musical skills are largely self-taught, Horvitz has taken coursework in Computer Music and Psychoacoustics at CNMAT (Center for New Music and Audio Technologies) and studied tabla in India in 1994 while earning his bachelorís degree in Cognitive Science at the University of California, Berkeley. During the last several years, he has gravitated towards a more studied approach to composition, taking private lessons in piano performance and music theory, and completing scores for several independent films. Currently, he is pursuing an MFA in Composition and Electronic Music at Mills College in Oakland, California.
