Thievery Corporation Concert Review - Tampa Fla

I went to see thievery corporation for the first time in tampa this satruday and I was just blown away. One of the all time best concerts I have ever been to hands down. just amazing.

They had there full band with them and they just ripped the place apart. Very rarely have I been to shows were the entire crowd is just going ballistic the entire time. Great energy, vibe and just incredible music. They had a percussionist, drummer, bass, sax, trumpet, sitar/guitar and at least 5 female singers from varoious parts of the world, jamican singer, mc, and Rob Garza djing. For some reason Eric Hilton (the other half) did not show up. The highlight me was the closing song of the first set "warning shots". They whole place was screaming the lyrics. To top it off the played three encore sets.

Almost 2.5 hours of non stop music. it was worth every penny. highly reccomend going to see them on this tour if there in your area.

It was at the Ritz Ybor (the old masquerade) in ybor city. That actaully was my only negative, the sound was great but the security was super tight. Theivery would be much more fun at an outdoor venue (such as jannus if it wasnt closing)

I went to HoB Orlando Thursday (8th) and caught them and it just totally blew me away. They made my year! I've been wanting to see them for a while and it was worth the wait! I highly recommend catching them at a show.

Iwould have loved to have gone to the Afterparty you guys had in Tampa. Ancient Astronaut's dj set was cool at HoB, but I'd rather hear a set in a dark club in the wee hours, which would have been better imo.

that would have been bad ass. i've always wondered how some of these tracks would sound live, ie. all that we percieve and resolution.

all i can say is that there songs sound about 100x better live with a full band...its really an amazing experiance. put on a hellova show too...27 songs almost 2.5hours.

steve my lame azz didnt go to afterhours...i was such a sweaty mess didnt feel to up for it. lmao it was so hot in that venue that the bass player eneded up stripng down to his breif red underwear at the end.
also forgot to mention they had brought about 25 of tampa's finest hotties onto the stage to dance away to the last song of the night.
