Taken from cnn.com. I knew something stunk about his story when he was found. I realize he hasn't been found guilty, but from day one I suspected that he was lying.
U.S. Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun, who disappeared in Iraq and then showed up in a purported hostage video before later appearing as a free man in Lebanon, has been charged with desertion, Pentagon officials say. If found guilty, the Arabic interpreter could receive a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of pay and allowances, and prison confinement.
