    FAO L.A. area bedroom DJs

As you may have seen in the Events section, Michael Scot, Josh Abrams, and myself will be starting Qo?l LA, the sister club to San Francisco?s legendary Qo?l on Wednesday, January 12th. We?re obviously very excited about this and one of the things we?re most excited about is the opportunity to give ?bedroom? DJs the chance to, well, get out of their bedrooms.

The first night will be a resident night featuring the LA residents and Qo?l SF?s Jondi & Spesh but each following week we?ll have an opening slot available for a selected ?bedroom? DJ. We're doing this in L.A. because we feel that one of Qo?l SF's greatest assets is that they give the ?bedroom? DJ the chance to play alongside established / 'superstar' DJs and show their stuff. We want to give L.A.'s upcoming talent the same chance.

So, you wonder, ?How can I get involved in such an excellent opportunity?? All we ask is that you create a 30 minute mix that represents your vision of an opening set and get it to us via mail or Internet download. Keep in mind that Qo?l allots each DJ a 45 minute set, so anything over 30 minutes is unnecessary and probably won?t get listened to (hey, just being honest).

For more information contact us via e-mail at qoolla@gmail.com or feel free to call Josh Abrams on his home phone no matter the time; day or night.

There lots of DJs on this board who are seasoned professionals but perhaps you guys have friends in the L.A. area that you'd like to pass this on to. If so, we'd appreciate it. Thanks!

    See ya on the dancefloor!
