Not much to it in terms of "exclusive" stuff, itīs mainly a collection of links to all stuff JD packaged under a few menus.
You get short JD bio in the opening screen.
Then you have a News section which links you up to updates from him or Bedrock, his Twitter account, and a radioshows section, this part is basically a collection of tracklists for all Transitions shows since August 2006. No links to the sets themselves though.
Next up is the Shop section which links you to the Bedrock site.
In the Audio section, first up you get a current chart of what he is playing with links to buy the tracks in iTunes, then a Podcast section that also links you to iTunes, and finally a Discography... which links to iTunes. This discography is weird because you get the Transistions CDīs in there, Diggers EPīs since Warung Beach onwards, and then thereīs also Neil Quigleyīs Renaissance CD and a the Toolroom Knights 2.0 CD by Mark Knight. I guess itīs because some Diggers track is in there.
The Visual section is great. Loads of Diggers videos from various parties, wallpapers for the iPhone, a picture gallery, and a Youtube search section for all things John Digweed. This gives you evenm more party videos.
Then the Gigs section is next, this gives you JDīs next tourdates, for each club you get a map of the location, a link to where you can buy tix, and a link for that clubīs site.
Coming last, is just a link to signup to JDīs newsletter.
So, all in all I guess this is all stuff that anyone could get on their own without an iPhone app, but itīs really great to have it all concentrated in just one place and since itīs free, i think any JD fan with an iPhone should go and and download this NOW.
Would be sweet if the app tapped into Last.fm and had a screen with a globe showing where and when somebody is listening to a Digweed track/set or another screen that aggregated Twitter feeds with Digweed keywords or an easy way for iPhone users to take snapshots/upload videos of a Digweed gig and share them with other iPhone users live or if Digweed uses that Twitter/Final Scratch plugin and track names are showing up live as he plays them during a gig. Come on Bedrock, you can do better.
