I think GU should of maybe expanded the genre in that period Cox, Gariner, Paul Van Dyk, Zabiela or even some of the House DJ's mite of stood them in better stead now. By the time they expanded they got House Cat, Freeland & Layo & Bushwaka I think by now they have lost most of the fans who used to buy every GU
Must admit I never understood the bile directed at the Layo & Bushwacka! release. Thought it was a decent house set representative of their style (1 disc retro, the other upfront). A rare example of GU getting it right in recent years.
The Freeland one though was terrible - not at all representative of his usual style. Compare to his FabricLive CD (IMO one of the best CDs in that series) and the gulf in class is embarassing.
Housecat was, well, Housecat. At least it wasn't as terrible as his recent Essential Mix.
But Cox should be good - look forward to that one!
