320 vbr is not going to make any difference on a rip if the stream is 128 or 192kbps cbr. And if the lower limit of your 320 vbr is higer than what the stream is (eg. 192 or 256 when your stream is only 128 ), you're just padding it with excess bytes that do nothing.
