Watching this now, could this possibly be one of THE memoriable live performances ever?? Not just for one, but a few reasons.

I was always into this band but just stopped listening to them because of all the new music coming out. It's great to go back and listen to all these tracks. Especially in 5.1.

        Goosebumps!!

Love Nirvana! I will have to check this out. I was actually listening to their unplugged album the other day.

          Re: Nirvana

loved and still love Nirvana. their songs endure. even when they released "you know you're right" they kicked all other new bands in the ass.

i prefer the shows' recordings to their albums. i can't listen to nevermind for instance, or watch smells video. but when i listen to a live version of it...
their 1994 rome recording is epic.

their unplugged must be one of those albums everyone has, regardless of what music genre they listen to.

Another one of those bands like Pearl Jam and Janes Addiction that went from tiny shitholes to stadiums in a matter of a couple years, I might have the original Nevermind Demo somewhere have to look for it, contains an whole array of different songs, very raw, as for the band, they destroyed hair metal, then themselves, would have never discovered The Wipers or the Vasalines, as for him being Cobain being like Lennon, as developing into parodies of their own existence I could go for that, prefer Mudhoney, Melvins, and The Screaming Trees myself, nowadays Nirvana is just another building block in this nostaglia fest everyone seems to embrace today whether due to the lack of new creative music or just music oversaturation from the internet could both contribute.

So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:

                          1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
                          2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
                          3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
                          4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...

Nirvana were huge for me, I went to both the Reading festival gigs in 91 and 92, and also saw them at Nottingham Rock City in either 90 or 91, can't remember which. Unbelievable live experience and truly influential, was gutted when I heard Kurt Cobain was dead.

Cheers for the Amsterdam gig Bob, that's a new one for me
