    Christian Smith @ the Rooftop... Dubai

    2nite, never saw him b4 but got his Platform CD which was good so lets see.
    FunkyKarma & myself along with lovely Lisa who is back from ADE, should be fun, Rooftop is an outdoor club so i guess we can enjoy the good weather.

    Will Reprot back..........

                              As Funky said..was a Top night, it's been some time since i saw a DJ that can mix, remix, scratsh all spot on

                              I would highly recommend to go and see Mr. Smith if he's in ur town.
                              I will get the report going later 2nite, now for more sleep.

                                  First, i had no idea Christian was in Dubai till i got a msg from funkykarma couple of hours before the gig and letting me know all about it.....the decision was very quick GO GO.
                                  Romel ( some of you met him @ bedrock 11) and i meet with Funky, his girlfriend and their mate who was visiting Dubai @ 11:30, we got into the rooftop, which is on the Top of an old club in a one of the Dubai glamorous hotels.
                                  Justin ( I guess his name was) was on the warm-up, good groovy tunes but it was a bit hummed, so we move close to the big fan ...saved the night
                                  Christian came on @ 1:00 am and he took the night to a different level, playing couple of tracks from his recent Platform album Can you relate, Indecent exposure, On off and an amazing remix of what I think is stimming- The kiss.
                                  He also played couple classic in the middle of the set..the house of love and he was mixing it with another tune ( fuck it was nice) also he dropped a wicked mix of Sasha Xpander toward the end and the place went nutz ( at lest Funky and meself) closing with what time is your flight

                                  This night was very especial coz it was not expected, and indeed Mr. Smith done wicked job in those 2 hrs set, it's been a long time since i saw a DJ that can scratch, mix and remix that good, also he is a very nice guy had a ward with him before he come on and congratulate him on his marriage couple of weeks back.

                                  Now, Add2Basket on the 13th @ 360 should be good.....I am off to the Beach

                                      Yes Mr.Smith is quite the DJ saw him in LA a while back and such bangin tracks, no wonder his productions rock the dancefloors, his mixing and programming are very in tune with the clubbers. Great report.
