Have been using my computer speakers for an entertainment set-up with my computer hooked to my LCD screen for a media center. Lately I am getting a lot of peaks or muffling noise with high pitches. Probably the speakers so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on some good computer speakers that could be used for a good entertainment set-up. I also have never replaced my sound card and was wondering how important it is to get a good one or if most average computer users can even notice a difference between more expensive sound cards?

Re: Sound Card and Computer Speakers?
I've been using the Logitech Z5500 since 2005 and they are a brilliant set of speakers for media entertainment. 5.1 surround and a 10" sub (iirc). Bass is as punchy as you'd need it and good connectivity too. I have mine connected using both SPDIF and Digital Coax and it sounds great.www.mjwebhosting.com

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me
