    Sasha on the CDJ2000s

Interesting tweets from Sasha re his set in Brisbane last night on the CDJ2000s. Sounds like we're gonna see a lot more of him actually mixing

    (read from the bottom up)

Anyway thanks to jason at pioneer and mr zabiela for hooking me up and helping me get sorted on the road. Sasha less than a minute ago from TwitterBerry

I think once my maven is back from being rebuilt I will use it as a giant mpc style sample bank and fx machine along side the cdjs. 3 minutes ago from TwitterBerry

They have really thought it thru. The quantised looping function makes extending your mixes a doddle. Fun to play on for sure. 5 minutes ago from TwitterBerry

A lot of the things I like about ableton have been incorporated into the new set up. The software is perfect for organising your sets. 6 minutes ago from TwitterBerry

The guys at pioneer really have done a great job. The machine itself is fantastic and the rekordbox software is just very simple but clever. 7 minutes ago from TwitterBerry

Great night is brisbane last night. My first night playing on the new cdj2000s. All went without a glitch.

Was about to post that too ... about time he went back to mixing. Hopefully playing with new toys will reenergise him for a bit like when he first got on the Ableton.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

Sounds like it could lead to some interesting results. Although unfortunately it seems like he's planning to keep on using that annoying ping pong delay/reverb toilet flush effect

His twitter said his maven is being rebuilt so guess he's stuck with the CDJs for this tour.

He rocked up and destroyed the place.
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”
                            Marcus Tullius Cicero
