    Confidence in "The System"

After seeing Climate Gate here unfold it brings me to the question

Why should we trust "The System?"

I mean lets face what is really going on here:

The banks are robbing the American public blind causing a global depression
Global Warming now has been unfolded as a lie
Healthcare in the US is a lie (it won't work out well for you Americans)

Lies, Lies , Lies!! The average person on the street is a good, honest person but it seems that the establishment is doing nothing but lying.

Didn't you watch the healthcare debate? That was just one instance. Do you actually believe that the American Public knowing that global warming is a scam that they will pay a tax??

What part do you rebut against? Also if a friend lies to you and steals from you do you still hang out with him?

Oh as far as what would I like to see? It might be foreign to you but I am looking for honesty. An honest system with fundamental moral values that everyone could get behind.

        Re: Confidence in "The System"

i didnt ask for your point of view, i clearly said, if you have a problem with the system, what are your solutions??

i for one, dont give a flying fuck, every little thing you have posted about climate change, healthcare, the "sytem", etc, is politics as usual, all these things have been happening way before you were born and i guarantee they will continue no matter what your stand on them is.

There is little one can do, and as i mentioned before im not gonna waste my life going out to protest or givng my state or local reps useless calls.

Im a very happy person that basically does what ever the fuck i want, i could care less about climate change, politics or the always terrifying "system", i would advise you do the same, "caring" for these things or "whining" about them is not gonna fix any of them, so unless you decide to pull a "Che Guevara" and start gathering people to form your own revolution, you need to chill out and stop pointing out the obvious.

no no sir, again, i did not ask for your opinion on me, or your stand on the "system" as i already know them, but i ask you for solutions, you seem to have all the answers to all of these problems so please share some of those solutions.

            please do.

The system sucks, but we need it, that's the problem. I would love to say NO to some strange taxes, but i can't .

                    Re: Confidence in "The System"

My take on this is that people always tend to overly romanticize the past while being overly pessimistic about the present and the future.

Since the beginning of time, "The System" has always been highly imperfect and unfair. And since the beginning of time, people have always been voicing their lack of confidence in "The System" and the impending doom of society and all civilized mankind.

And since the beginning of time, mankind has always gone through repetitive cycles of peace then war, poverty then prosperity, stability then unrest, etc...

And guess what? In the end, mankind is still here, and "The System" is, too.

My point is simply this: the more things change, the more they stay the same. And it's this way for a simple reason: humans don't really ever change.

                    And you're welcome, runningman

I understand your point Miro.. I just don't want to see what happened to the Romans happen to the USA..

                      Corrupt politicians
                      empire building
                      fiat currency

I wish we could learn from our mistakes rather then just repeat them over and over again..
