Tiger Woods made regular hush money payments to quiet two girls he had a threesome with on tape, The New York Daily News reported Sunday.
The fidelity-challenged superstar golfer was in bed with the pair in Phoenix three years back when he noticed one of them taking pictures or videotaping him with the other girl, the newspaper said, citing a source familiar the situation.
“"Tiger goes ballistic. He starts chasing the girl around. She runs out the door. He runs out after her. I don't know how much clothing either of them is wearing, but Tiger finally catches up with her and grabs her cell phone or camera or whatever it was that had the evidence,” the source said.
Recognizing the danger the situation posed to Woods’ hundreds of millions of dollars in endorsement money, his handlers decided to make regular payments to the women to keep them quiet, the Daily News said.
It's not known what happened to the recording.
Meanwhile, Woods' wife Elin was out on the town on Saturday night, leaving him at home with the children, according to reports Sunday on entertainment news website RadarOnline.
Publishing photos of Elin Woods accompanied by a girlfriend, but minus her wedding ring, the website said Elin partied and had dinner at the Dolphin hotel in Orlando, Fla.
RadarOnline was the site that reported on Friday that Woods was back in Orlando after undergoing counselling for sex addiction, but that he and his wife were living separately.
“The marriage is not good,” one source close to them told RadarOnline.com. “She barely interacts with him.”
Woods, who has been linked to at least 14 other women during his marriage, reportedly was minding the couple's two children while his wife was out on the town. Woods has not been seen in public since lurid allegations about his private life emerged in November last year.

Tiger Woods allegedly impregnated his porn star mistress twice, both times when his wife was also pregnant, according to an interview with the woman set to air Monday.
Joslyn James said her lengthy and steamy affair with Woods always involved unprotected sex.
Using protection "was never talked about," the actress told U.S. television show "Inside Edition."
"It was never protected."
James, 32, who claimed she carried on an affair with Woods from 2006 to 2009, said she miscarried in her first pregnancy at about the same time his wife, Elin Nordegren, gave birth to daughter Sam Alexis on June 18, 2007.
James said she aborted her next pregnancy close to the Feb. 8, 2009, birth of Woods' son Charlie Axel.
Woods was never told about either pregnancy, she said, claiming she "just didn't want to ruin anything."

Tiger Woods will face the media Friday for the first time since becoming embroiled in a scandal over multiple allegations of infidelity, according to a report on the Golf Channel.
The report indicated Woods will conduct a news conference from PGA Tour headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. ET. There were no details about who would be in attendance, or what Woods would or wouldn’t discuss. But a report from Bloomberg news service indicated that he would apologize for his past behavior and discuss his future. Bloomberg says that the news was announced to them in an e-mailed statement from Tiger's agent Mark Steinberg and his spokesman Glenn Greenspan.
The news comes within days of the scandal escalating amid claims that Woods twice impregnated an alleged mistress, adult film star Joslyn James.
Woods took an indefinite leave from golf shortly after the scandal first erupted in November. Woods and his wife were said to be living apart in the same Orlando-area neighborhood so he can visit with their children. Nordegren was not wearing her wedding ring during recent weeks.
