CID called today, case closed because they have no evidence.

So unless someone comes forward with any information, which we all know is highly unlikely, these fucks got my shit.. and they get away with it!

Sorry to hear that MJ.

Make sure you get some type of security in your house. I used to work for ADT security as a sales rep and let me tell you they will be back if there is no alarm. I once had this couple they got robbed and everything was stolen so they called ADT to check on security prices. I went out and they thought the $33/month was to much so they passed. 5 months later I got a call from them to come back. Turns out they got robbed again!!!

Honestly I would get one if I was you. There is a really good chance they will be back. Around the holidays is major burglar time because of the obvious. Plus you can save up to 15% on your house insurance.

Hey MJ did they get an alarm put in?? Burglars aren't stupid they go back.

Good job on getting the alarm... They won't be back now. Too many other easy targets out there. Ask your alarm people to give you a sticker that says "camera installed". Even if you don't have one it is a major visual deterent to the crook. Put the sticker on the back door (90% of all break-ins are back door) Also they like to come back 3-5 weeks after because they know you got the insurance money and probably have brand new stuff in the house. So try to get one in before then.

Seeing as though they did come in through the back door that is the one I have paid particular attention to. There is an alarm siren high up above the French doors that flashes and a huge sticker on the door saying there is an alarm fitted.

sorry for the bad news MJ.. i hope the fuckers get what they deserve! they must had been good organized tho and they knew exactly what they were doing, for the forensics not to find any evidence! it definitely sucks mate.. a dummy camera is a good investment too fitted somewhere outside your house. it will make them think again before they enter your home..

ya the black dummy dome that looks like a camera is only like $15. This one even has a blinking red light that makes it look like it is active. For $50 (Frontdoor/Sidedoor, backdoor) fake cameras and stickers will go a long way in detering the crook. The last thing they want is their face on screen.

^ well if you get a good camera for using day and night i think it will be a bit expensive, plus it takes time to change the tapes every so often.. its a house after all not a bank.. its like those stickers "beware of the dog" when you dont even have a dog!

They have cheap web cams that go straight to computer. In fact you could watch your house being burgled in real time on your iphone Dogs bark They are actually a really good deterrent, if it's an opportunistic burglar. If it's planned they will know if you have a dog.
