by all means they should win, but I can't say the Swiss deserve to lose though

so.. what's the more surprising result?
Spain 1-1 Switzerland (if Spain get the goal, which by all means they should) or
England 1-1 USA

Steve, imo is more sourprising Spanish result... They are doing almost everything they can to win this match... England can play better and they prolly will in the next game

Pretty terrible result for Spain... If they dont win the group, theres a big chance they will play against Brazil on a hipothetical next phase...

at this point there is no guarantee Spain even get out of the group.. 8% of the countries that lose their first match make it to the knock out stage
the way the Swiss played today you'd fancy them to get a result out of the next two matches and possibly end up with at least 7 points, Chile finished second in CONMEBOL so they're a solid squad too.. it's not an easy road for the Eurpoean champions

Well well, hats off to the Swiss. There was no way they could match the Spanish technical ability so thier game plan was to defend. Defend well they did too. I still like to watch the way the Spanish ping the ball about like they do.

the Swiss keeper had a nice match, Spain really didn't threaten except that cracker off the cross bar, pinging the ball around and having a lot of possession doesn't mean much when you can't put the ball in the old onion bag, lol
