You know, judging by last nightīs game and todayīs 1st game, this 2nd round is probably where the World Cup is finally shifting into top gear, itīs been a pretty drab tournament up until yesterday, and now weīre starting to see goals, which is what this stuff is all about after all.
I think you're right, a lot of the top countries typically start slow, and just about everyone is so afraid of losing that first match they tend to play a lot more cautious as a draw isn't the worst thing in the world
well, one was an own goal, but the rest were class.. south korea fought well, but just couldn't get that equaliser, had they got it to 2-2 it might have been a bit different, but I doubt it, Argentina look as though they are definitely hitting their stride.. I'd hate to have to play them in the next round
Greece and Australia looks like the weakeast teams for sure... Dont think Messi, Higuain, Mascherano or any the important players will play against them though
wow, that looked very similar to Robert Green's fuck up
Exactly. Thatīs another argument to add to all the people who say that this Jabulani ball sucks. Itīs like a balloon! i can buy a ball like that for 5 bucks at the local supermarket and itīs only good to play at the beach.
I don't know, I just think they're amateur mistakes not getting your body completely behind the ball? it's unfortunate because he has had some nice saves too.. as bad as Greece has looked at times, they just might sneak into the knock out round
I don't know, I just think they're amateur mistakes not getting your body completely behind the ball?
Well itīs not always gonna be the ballīs fault, but I know a couple of guys (who are not pro players) that have played with this ball and they say, for example, that the ball acts weird when they hit it with quite some power from afar, itīs like it zig-zags, the trajectory is a bit unpredictable.
Also, if youīve gotten used most of the time to a ball with a certain weight, itīll take you some time to adapt the weight youīll put behind a save with your body, if youīre a keeper. And that could cause some weird deflections.
Finally, notice how most free-kicks in the tournament so far have been a bit crap, it seems like the ball takes a lot longer to start dipping after a long hard strike. Same thing for long passes...
