I'm just saying, the complexion of the game changes.. after that goal we immediately came back down and hit the cross bar.. we wouldn't have been pressing to come back from 2 or 3 goals down, and the counter MAY NOT have been as effective.. not making excuses, Germany exploited the lack of shape and made us pay dearly, as I would expect them to
I'm not a fan of out and out replay either, which is why I suggested utilising the extra official
or, they already have camera in the nets.. why not use them
It could all have been different but... really... not trying to piss anyone off or anything, because I love English football, so Iīm almost as disappointed as any other England fan, still I think some things have to be said :
1. Rooney didnīt show up in South Africa.
2. Who the f*** is Heskey??
3. Iīm sorry, but who the f*** is Barry and why insist on him coming from injury when you have Carrick?? The guy had no rhythm and pace at all, itīs like he was playing a different game all along!
4. Even if that Lampard shot had counted, cīmon, Englandīs defense was miserable! A goal from a goal kick straight into Klose? Amateurish! 3 goals where opposing strikers appear completely unmarked dropping in from the flanks? Terrible.
5. In what state is English national football, to get to a point where a guy like Beckham is kind of a moral reserve? Why was that douchebag on the bench? Please donīt tell me that BECKHAM, I repeat BECKHAM, was supposed to be there to inspire the others?? To be looked up to?? Nigga please...
oh trust me, England have a lot more problems than a goal that was not given, I'm not that naive to think anything but that
Rooney I think is still not 100% after his ankle injury, and is playing out of position
Lampard and Gerrard can NOT coexist, I have been saying this and still believe it
We are no where near as good as a "team" as we are on club level with our domestic clubs
We still are in search of a true number 1 (James is nothing more than a band aid whilst we look for one)
1st goal aside, very amateurish, when you're pressing for goals, there are going to be massive gaps and the counter was played to perfection, but even still we looked old and slow
Beckham being there was a joke, lol
All this showed is there are major holes to fill ASAP.. there are really no players on that squad that strike fear into the hearts of any opponent
Lennon, Milner, SWP etc.. decent at club level, no where near talented enough to compete with the worlds best
Lampard, Gerrard, Terry.. by next world cup will be past their prime
Still no goalie that I feel 100% confident on putting out there, hopefully Green or Hart can step up before Euro 2012, or soeone else will come out of the wood work, or maybe we can get a U.S. keeper to change citizenship :-\
I was expecting something more from England since the first game... Was a terrible WC not only as a team but their stars individually... Rooney playing like this, injuried or not, says it all... Before the WC get started we all thought about Rooney being one of the most important players of this tournament, one the best players in the world.. Harmless throughout the tournament
Germany destroyed the weak british defense and goalie, with Ozil (one of the best players so far) and Muller on fire...
Referees are a fucking disgrace, they can not have this huge mistakes.. Usa, England, Argentina, Chile.. You never know how things would go if those stupids do their job correctly...
Here you can see CLEARLY the ball wasn't in. Wembley reloaded FTW!

Good luck to ze Germans
Was asked ourselves the same question yesterday. My mates and I would have prefered to win the Game without this Referee bullshit - be it alone to avoid the discussions about what could have happened. I seriously doubt a 2:2 would have changed things dramatically. Germany was just the better team yesterday. Period. Not saying Germany is better than England but yesterday we were - from defense to offense. Germany has controlled the Game besides the 15 minutes phase from England in the beginning of the 2nd half. Winning against England is always odd....of course I do not want us to be beaten but I also like to see the English team playing and I know they can do much more than they showed yesterday, though I thought it was their best appearance in this Tournament.
Now I am waiting for the next mini-final against Argentina. We'll see what our team can do against a technically top notch team and after the Game against England, I am not afraid at all anymore. We have the abilities to win this but even if we loose, we can leave without regrets.
I could never see why we were being talked about as tournament favourites. What was this based on? Qualifying from an easy group and scoring the most goals? Pfft. Spain spanked us in a friendly.. that said it all for me. Overrated under achievers !
The second goal we scored could have changed the game even though Germany were far the better team. If any team looses a 2 goal lead it is bound to affect their nerve. We'll never know though.
For all the none believers, the 66 goal was in too
^^ no way! Without this Goal, the Game would have ended differently...sounds somehow known to the English fans now? You have heard it from us since half a century already, next half Century is all yours guys. BTW, does anybody have scans/links to actual English Yellow press "articles"? Would like to see their "approach" on it lol.
