I'm excited to get this... once I figure out how to get it on Ubuntu I've had way too many issues with RSS on 2.0. Hopefully the issues have been fixed!
I saw a post online that says it works w it out of the box, but Lightning wasn't upgraded along w Thunderbird. I used it at one time but had issues with it, so eventually uninstalled. I plan on reinstalling now that I have the new version.
Sadly my RSS feeds didn't get fixed so I just spent forever trying deleting all rss data files and start over one by one. Good to go now, at least.
I installed it on the home pc and lightning isn't compatible (yet). I figured I would test it here rather than on my laptop (which has lightning as well and is used more). I actually like it, although I am not too crazy about the smart folders.
I've just downloaded Lightning to my PC (still Thunderbird 2, but stuck 3 on my laptop) to try it out. Anyone got some sort of demo vid that goes through the features on this?
whoops. Lightning is just a calendar, that's it. My problem with it is that it has partial,read-only iCal support, but that's a problem with iCal in general
