judging by the laidback start id say this was very early in the set as he played for 3 hours and we missed first hour so this could be that

his last 2 hours were great

Being as he was warming up for John Digweed its unlikely he would bang it out. I cant say I've ever thought of Howells as a DJ who bangs it out ever.
